  Good hangers, if the spot is right...

  Monkey Hooks do what they say, and they work well. It certainly is very easy to work with them. No hammer or other special tools needed. Just pierce into the drywall, spin it over, and push it in. They work as advertised, and are great for hanging pictures, signs, mirrors, etc. That being said, there are some quirks that can be issues for some people. As pointed out by some other reviewers, there are some spots on your wall where you just simply can't use them. They work by piercing through and being supported by the drywall itself, so if there is a stud behind the wall in the spot where you want to hang something, you simply can't use them there. I was recently using them to hang signs and mirrors in my basement, and also ran into problems using them too close to the ceiling. That is another quirk. My basement has a low ceiling, and I was hanging some signs high on the wall, near the ceiling. The Monkey Hooks require room to spin over inside the wall, and I was not able to use them here either. In the spots where you can use them, though, they are great and are a real time saver. I certainly prefer them to a hammer and nail, where I can use them. I would recommended them, just know that they can't replace a hammer and nail 100% of the time.

  Depends on your application, but works great where there is no solid anchor material.

  Obviously do not work if you hit a stud, duct work, or similar. Also difficult on exterior walls where there is insulation. I have blown in cellulose type insulation, and it is workable but not simple. For interior walls, where there is not an option for a stud to anchor into, these work great and hold weight securely. There are different sizes if heavier weight support is needed. Love these for the places where they work.

  Where have these been all my life?

  For years I was using a specific brand of 'removable' velcro strips to hang pictures in my home. They worked great for most things, but after having a few heavier items fall off the wall and actually remove a layer of the wall itself I knew I needed something better to hang up some very important photos and canvases that I'd received recently. In my search I found these Monkey Hooks and they looked interesting. While I wasn't the biggest fan of making holes in my walls, I felt it was a fair trade-off for being able to securely attach things and not have damage later when I wanted to move something or it decided to move itself. I'm very happy with these. The holes they make are small but the hooks definitely seem to be sturdy. I was able to hang up a large canvas print with a homemade frame in mere minutes and it's not budging. No tools were needed other than the step ladder to get my short body up high enough to insert the hooks. I'm not totally sure what the little plastic pieces are for, as the instructions on how to use them were vague but it turned out I didn't need them. Just push the pointy end of the hook into the wall, twisting a bit as you go then once it pops though, spin the entire thing around so the hook faces up. You'll give it a small tug to get it "seated" into place and then hang whatever you want. These will definitely be something I keep on hand for future projects and highly recommend for anyone with either painted or 'papered' sheetrock and wallboard. Mobile home walls are kind of a thinner version of sheetrock with a wallpaper type coating on the outside and these work perfectly for those.

  So easy to use - love the variety pack!

  These are the best, easiest and most sturdy hooks for hanging pictures!! We've used them for years and were so happy to see this variety pack! One option that is included is a close to the wall hook for items that need a flush mount. These are easy to use, they do not make a mess and we can typically hang one item with just one hook. They are sturdy and take a little bit of pressure when you are applying it to the wall, but then they glide right in, you turn/twist the hook and voila! they are in and ready for the item

  These are the best for hanging pictures on the wall. No hammer needed. Push and twist is all you need to do. If it won't go through the drywall, you have probably hit a stud.

  The Best sturdy, EASY way to hang artwork

  While I have not used this particular order, I can tell you that as an artist and as a “stager“ for real estate, these hooks are the best option for not leaving hardly anything in the wall. Usually a tiny toothpick size finger full of spackle will render it almost invisible. Especially if you put a little of the wall color in it. But they will hold a lot of weight. Currently, I am working on some very heavy art pieces with standoffs. These are gold pieces to hang out with that allow Art to stand away from the wall. The standoff’s have a tiny hole in the back, and I have found that if I cut off a bit of the tip of the hanging portion of these gorilla hooks, and use pliers to bend them down a little bit. They fit directly into the holes of the standoffs, allowing me to hang a very beautiful heavy picture without all of the trappings of having to put a Molly bolt into the wall or toggle bolt into the wall and screw the standoffs into that. I also use these at my art shows where I push them into the carpeted walls of my art booth, and it allows me to hang heavy art on them. I recommend them for everything.

  Love the variety pack!

  You can't go wrong with Monkey Hooks. We always use this type, but this particular pack actually has low-profile hooks. Didn't know i needed those but have found that certain items lay a lot flatter on the wall. Great product!
